Mykel Parish Ajaere is a cultural activist and filmmaker. He is the founder of the Pan-African Film Consortium, one of the largest communities of African cinema stakeholders, and the CEO of the Pan-African Film Development Foundation. He is the founder of the Nollywood Travel Film Festival, founder of the Business of Entertainment Conference, co-founder of the Pan-African Development Summit, and Executive director of the Pan-African Arts, Culture and Tourism Institute Canada. He is also on the board of Generations Cameroon. He is a diplomatic envoy to the International Society of Diplomats and director of international affairs at the College of Diplomatic Studies and International Relations in Abuja, Nigeria.
He has consulted for several organizations and institutions in Africa including Diplomatic missions, the African Union, the Africa International Film Festival, the Zanzibar International Film Festival, the Afro-Chinese Arts and Folklore Festival Egypt, Prince Ebrahim Future Africa Foundation Gambia, AfCFTA, and many more.
Mykel has been on a jury and film industry panels for over 30 festivals worldwide, including the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2013, Africa in Motion Scotland Film Festival 2014, 2017, and 2019; Helsinki International film festival 2015; Tokyo international film festival 2016; African Film Festival Atlanta; Afro China arts and folklore festival 2017; Mashariki Africa film festival; Berlinale Africa hub 2018; Durban İnternational Film Festival; Luxor Africa Film Festival; and Rabat International Film Festival to name a few.
He lives in Abuja, Nigeria, and runs a creative agency called Whitepoint Media Africa.
